I love someone vulnerable, whether boys or girls. 克里斯于是点头，不错啊，两个人都vulnerable，还可以互相保护。<BR>　　<BR>原来我也vulnerable？！<BR>　　<BR>Carl应该属于我喜欢的类型，a serious vulnerable angry kid.<BR>没有了Pete这个文青的束缚，Carl在音乐里的愤怒控制不住的往外冲。Bang bang you’re dead是《Waterloo to Anywhere》里面比较轻松的一首，其它的如grin & milk, you f*** love it, wondering都有用力过猛的嫌疑。<BR>不过Pretty Dirty Things还是比Babyshambles耐听一些，毕竟Carl是Pete的吉他老师。<BR>　　<BR>附赠照片一张，果然如报道，这两个人唱歌的时候离得简直不能再近了。<BR>可谁在乎他们是不是柏拉图？<BR>　　<BR>　　<br/><img src="http://images.icnetwork.co.uk/upl/covtelegraph/nov2008/0/4/9AB2BB13-0AAD-0CE0-897848369609CE57.jpg" onload="javascript: img_auto_size(this,500,true);" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px 5px; TEXT-ALIGN: left;"><br/>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<br/>　　<br/><img src="http://popbytes.com/img/tori-amos-sinful-attraction-tour.jpg" onload="javascript: img_auto_size(this,500,true);" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 5px; TEXT-ALIGN: left;"><br/><BR>　　<BR>　　话说八月十三日这天老D同学答应请我去看Tori Amos演唱会，真叫人翘首以盼啊。<BR>　　<BR>　　到五点半的时候，老D同学到我办公室楼下接我。彼时我还在和天涯奋战，不明白改图片格式的那栏跑到哪里去了：为啥整出来的图片比我写出来的文字方块还大？折腾了将近二十分钟，啥也没搞出来，只能就那样贴出来，慌里慌张的下楼等着接受批评。居然——没有批评~~老D同学说，时间还早，带你去中央公园看动物吧。<BR>　　<BR>　　中央公园的动物园就像一个谜，虽然在地图上标得很清楚，但我们去了N次也没有找到。这天晚上也不例外，我们进了中央公园先围着湖看鸭子，然后就转向了，走到一个林荫道去。两边都是长椅，有一个小黑哥儿刚摆起摊吹萨克斯。看我们走过，曲调一转，吹得居然是：“你问我爱你有多深，恋你有几分，我的情也真我的爱也深，月亮代表我的心……”本来我都走过去几米了，赶紧巴巴的跑回来递上几块钱，怎么就这么有眼力见儿呢！ <BR>　　<BR>　　在公园里转了一小时，老D提议带我去他刚查到的一个馆子，说是去Radio City Hall的路上，一点工夫都不耽误的。可惜啊，我哪里知道有这么多安排，老胳膊老腿的，偏穿了一双新鞋，走了一脚泡不说，腿肚子都要抽筋了，照的照片呈龇牙咧嘴状。想着前面还有近十个block要走，坐在地上哭的心都有。想着打个车吧，车上都有人。寻个马车吧，马车在公园里转，也不往餐馆那里去。<BR>　　<BR>　　于是就和老太太似的蹭着走，等到餐馆的时候，还有二十多分钟演唱会就开始了。没法，只能叫汉堡和薯条的外卖。人家还要现做，拿到手的时候就只有十分钟了。我们边走边吃，弄得满手是油，然后又想起来忘了拿盐，老D本来就口重，这样非快餐店的汉堡是要自己加盐的。<BR>　　<BR>　　到了Radio City Hall，水扔了，汉堡可以带进去。听Tori Amos吃汉堡，也是有趣的组合。演出还算准时。暖场乐队是One eskimO，很cute。老D和我讨论了一下为啥英国乐队唱歌的时候没口音，一说话口音就暴露无遗的问题，没有得到任何实质性结论。然后Tori Amos就上场了。<BR>　　其实要不是recky小朋友强烈推荐了一下，我也没有想好是不是要来看这场演唱会。我对Solo一向不太感冒，觉得唱得再好，她也是solo啊，想我这么喜欢躁的，solo怎么够劲呢。<BR>　　老D同学呢，一首Tori的歌都没有听过，就是舍命陪君子来的。<BR>　　<BR>　　结果Tori一开口，我们就被震倒了，一个人的气场可以这样强。<BR>　　小recky说的“她演的多好了，多漂亮啊，多值得人回味啊”原来是这么一个意思。<BR>　　她一首接一首的唱，即使在band休息的时候，她也在唱，只在临结尾的时候跑下台一次，然后没两分钟，又跑回来了。中间讲了一个小段子，声音有点哑，大约还是太累了，唱的时候没有CD里面的声音甜美。<BR>　　即使如此，还是非常非常好，非常令人满意了。<BR>　　<BR>　　如果不是我的那双鞋，让我的小腿肚子到今天早上还在抽筋，这个约会根本就是完美无缺了。<BR>　　]]></description>

Or do we just keep on pretending. And hope our luck is never ending.”<BR>　　　　<BR>　　再返回来看The Libertines的封皮，非常非常的make sense。抬着头的是Carl，旁边那个看似昏迷不醒的是Pete。They were good together, though their relationship was really a mess.<BR>　　　　<BR>　　后来Dirty Pretty Things和Babyshambles都出了专辑，我也翻来听，全不及The Libertines时期华丽有趣。<BR>　　　　<BR>　　They deserve better, so do we.<BR>　　　　]]></description>

      <title><![CDATA[Brothers and Sisters]]></title>

      <description><![CDATA[<br/>　　<br/><img src="http://t.douban.com/lpic/s3780151.jpg" onload="javascript: img_auto_size(this,500,true);" align="middle"><br/><BR>　　<BR>　　最近几天看电视看疯了。<BR>　　星期五一篇paper的deadline，紧赶慢赶半夜十二点交出去。然后觉得应该好好犒劳自己一下，翻出想看很久的Brothers and Sisters开始看。星期六老D请我去看哈利波特，然后买东西，吃饭，洗衣服，连地上的废纸都没有捡干净就又接着开始看，简直是愈罢不能。星期天某人说要给我打电话约着见面吃饭，结果没打，于是我就接着看，一直看到星期一早七点我的电脑不抗重负罢工了才爬到床上睡觉。起来又打开电脑看。<BR>　　整整三季啊，一共23+16+23集，连饭都没怎么吃，终于在星期二看完了。<BR>　　再不看完就要被dump了，老D同学已经出现崩溃的症状。<BR>　　<BR>　　从小到大也没有为哪本书哪个电视走火入魔到这个地步的。虽然去年也看得不少，但也不至于熬夜看。<BR>　　我怀疑我的脑子已经被永久损伤了，只要让我不写paper随便给个东西都当作宝。<BR>　　<BR>　　不过还是推荐一下吧，大家庭的故事，兄弟姐妹五个人，全都住在洛杉矶，有一个family business，再加上每个人自己的一摊琐事：大姐作为成功的事业女面临婚姻危机；二姐电视节目主持人趁着采访的机会嫁给了参议员；老三管理家里的business有一个漂亮的老婆可惜他自己不育；老四是个律师还是个open gay；小儿子先去了阿富汗打仗又去了伊拉克负伤回来找不到生活的重心，就这样热热闹闹的演了三季。还别说，到了第三季，质量也没有像绝望主妇，迷失或者越狱那样严重滑坡。虽然有的剧情也编的太生硬了一点，但原谅我又困又饿，觉得都还可以忍受。<BR>　　<BR>　　最重要的是剧情很sweet。虽然故事编的繁复，基本上就这么一个中心思想：不管家里谁出了一点事，所有的成员都会赶来，并不见得能帮忙，但总是一起陪着渡过难关——这个意思就够sweet了吧。<BR>　　当然也是不现实的sweet。譬如说这么频繁的家庭聚会，居然都保持着近乎百分之百的出席率……连在竞选总统的二女儿老公都能坐直升飞机赶回家吃饭，amazing啊！<BR>　　还是很爱。我实在是个big family fan。可能也和家庭环境有关。奶奶家六个孩子，姥姥家四个，而且基本上都在北京。从小到大，我所有的周末几乎都在串亲戚中度过了——也难怪功课不好，没有时间读书么，打牌还行，陪老太太聊天也还行。<BR>　　到美国这么多年，虽然也惯了两个人的生活，但看到这样的大家庭的生活，还是觉得不可抗拒。<BR>　　<BR>　　片子里面还有很多讨论很有意思，一家的liberal or democrat居然培养出像二女儿这样的忠实的共和党，最后还拉着弟弟Kevin，a democrat gay，去给自己共和党老公做communication director。从小儿子的经历讨论美国面对的两场战争。还有gay marriage。据wikipedia，这是第八个展现了同性恋婚礼的美国电视剧，但是另外七个都是小配角结婚，只有这个是主要角色结婚。而且Kevin这个同性恋比家里其他的人戏份一点也不少，也是非常罕见的。Kevin & Scotty make a really cute couple，他们两个的爱情比其他人加起来都要sweet几百倍，写剧本的人真下功夫啊。我必须去看Brüno降降温，否则就要变成同人女了……]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<br/>www.themoth.org<BR><BR>The Moth是作家George Dawes Green 1997年创立的一个非营利协会，主要宗旨么，就是找人来讲故事——要求是真实故事，或者至少是亲自听过别人讲过的故事。故事都不长，十到十五分钟吧，来讲故事的人形形色色——有演员，有科学家，有作家，有一般老百姓——不管是谁，故事都特逗，和咱们中国的单口相声似的。<BR><BR>去他们家的网站可以subscribe podcast，可以用itune 或者一般的RSS reader。每个星期网站就会给寄一个故事来——当练英语听力也好，当听相声也好，都非常棒。强烈推荐一下。]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<br/>懒了一周，终于要忙起来了，赶紧把欠的东西补一补。补完当然不可能，只盼少忘记一些便是了。<BR><BR><br/><img src="http://www.webconsuls.com/blog/uploaded_images/godot2-740542.jpg" onload="javascript: img_auto_size(this,500,true);" align="middle"><br/><BR><BR>Waiting for Godot，回国之前便看了的，也是第一次和同学看show。卡着点去买的学生票，居然坐到了有史以来我坐过的最好座位，人品啊！戈多算是熟悉的剧目了，读过剧本，看过国内任鸣的版本，所以话语虽然密集，听得也并不吃力。效果么……不好讲。去之前听说很funny，实际也很funny。但也许是演员表现的太圆熟，反而生出疏离感——笑虽然笑了，但转过头去，又觉得什么都没听到，亦什么也未看到。或是我自己的问题？<BR><BR><br/><img src="http://danceviewtimes.com/images2006/Spring/05/Midsummer_KowroskiandBottom.jpg" onload="javascript: img_auto_size(this,500,true);" align="middle"><br/><BR><BR>A Midsummer Night's Dream。因为一直想着要看场芭蕾，回来第二天就巴巴的把票定了，其实订的急了。和话剧的形势比起来，感觉芭蕾的表现比较凌乱。而且没有想到第一幕就把所有的情节交待完了，第二幕不过是群舞。可怜的老D，时差还没有倒过来，只看的七七八八。问他什么，无非记得一头驴子。其实还算lovely的演出，蛮适合仲夏夜看。]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<br/>接到老D表姐去世的消息，我们正准备去会朋友，商量到西藏旅游的行程。临出门前想起所谓的隔离期已经过了，也可以串亲戚去，于是打电话给老D的大姑妈约时间。表哥接的电话，说大姑妈还在城里。忽然，他问，<BR>表姐的事情你知道么？<BR>老D有点错愕，问，难道最近有什么新情况？<BR>大表哥接着说，表姐生病你知道吧？<BR>知道啊。<BR>她加州时间今天早上去世了。<BR><BR>老D握着电话，我们两个都有些吃惊。在美国的时候我们天天跟加州打电话，也知道情况不好。<BR>但是知道情况不好和真正去世可是相差千里。<BR>因为正要出门，也没有时间细想，只是把计划中从峨嵋到天津的机票改成到北京的机票。预计二姑妈很快就会从加州回来，这样好歹能在回美国之前和从她见上一面。<BR><BR>在西藏的时候，一直忙着头疼。偶尔和老D说起表姐，也并不觉得她已经去世。<BR>因为她住加州，我们也不是天天见。虽然最近两年总是一起出去玩，但忙起来，几年不见也属正常。<BR>现在就算我们都在忙的时候吧。<BR><BR>记得我一月份从加州回来，第二天给她电话，问她有没有去医院，她说约的下午见医生。然后她就笑我做事拖沓，说你就不能麻利点么。我说并不是不麻利啊，只是因为不想做才拖沓。<BR>晚上打电话说检查结果要星期五才出来。<BR>星期五我们专业有一个会，开会间隙又打电话过去。因为是上午，并没有预计结果会出来，谁想到表姐马上接了电话。她的声音听起来总是兴高采烈的，说，哎呀，是癌症，再过半个小时就要进手术室了呢。因为现在得癌症的很多，虽然有点受罪，但还是好了的人多，于是我们就故作轻松的聊了聊，包括刀口长什么样可以穿比基尼之类。<BR>后来做了手术，情况一直不是很好，就没有再打。<BR>其中中间有一个星期医院说她情况好很多，于是转到康复中心。她和小姑打电话，我在旁边听着，没有插话。怕她说话太多了累到。<BR>回头想想，当时为什么我不再和她多说两句呢？那天大家那么高兴的。<BR><BR>我们在加州带着老D妈妈和二姑玩的时候还挺好。3000多公里，表姐开了有一半，就是最后一天她觉得不舒服，才是老D开的。<BR>还有去年夏天，也就是这个时候，她带着两个姑娘在我们纽约家里，正赶上我们搬家，老D上班，我在一楼佯装洗衣服，其实是看着楼上一堆垃圾脑袋疼，洗完衣服上来，发现她都帮我把家具放好了。有几个破玩意儿，她嫌我们累赘，要帮我们扔了，我扣门，又偷偷捡回来。<BR>转天去Cape Code的时候，她和老D开玩笑，你知道你三岁的时候来我们家说过什么？你坐在我旁边，和人似的，说，表姐啊，你咋长得这么老气横秋呢？我们于是大笑，老D三岁的时候，表姐也就十四岁吧。我问，那你说什么了？表姐说，我当时啥都没说啊，可这都二十多年了。你现在要是那个椅子扔了，我倒可以把它忘一忘。一个星期后我们从波士顿回来，麻利地就把那几个破烂扔了。<BR>这纽约加波士顿，Cape Code游，前前后后也有两个星期吧。就是那个时候，她教我包馄饨和银鱼炒苦瓜，现在还老做的。<BR>大前年感恩节，表姐表姐夫第一次带着孩子来纽约。老D非要招呼到我们家吃饭，哪承想，感恩节饭馆全不开门，偏我们家那周也没买菜。结果大人孩子六个人只好蹲在家里吃通心粉，我做sauce的时候放了很多蘑菇进去，两个娃还不吃蘑菇。招待的要多失败有多失败。好在想，这些事情，以后还有机会。<BR><BR>二姑妈带回来的表姐照片，穿的还是我们一起玩的时候穿的衣服，两手交叉着伸在前面，看起来还是兴高采烈。我拿起来左端详右端详，她怎么就一点不显老呢，小时候什么样子现在还什么样，甚至更好看。<BR>后来我们看video, 在金门大桥的海葬，几个孩子在船上抢Cookie吃，后来又放蝴蝶，无忧无虑<BR>的样子。<BR>再后来在北京开告别会，我们又回到纽约了。前前后后的，都没赶上。不过这样，愈发觉得大家只是忙，没有机会聚在一起罢了。<BR><BR>有时候收拾东西，想起这件是她帮我放的，那件是她送给我的，也会忍不住掉眼泪。但转念想，<BR>逝于华年，也未尝不好。<BR><BR>PS：犹犹豫豫要不要写，拖了这么久，还是放上来吧。也算一件事情告一段落。新生活重新开始。<BR>]]></description>
