      <title><![CDATA[World famous skateboarder Ali Boulala jailed]]></title>

      <description><![CDATA[<br/>By Shelley Hadfield<BR><BR>April 25, 2008 12:00am<BR><BR>A WORLD-famous skateboarder will spend at least two years in jail for killing champion Australian skater Shane Cross in a motorcycle crash.<BR><BR>Ali Boulala killed Cross when he smashed into the wall of the Tramway Hotel on March 7 last year. A rising superstar, Cross, 20, was a pillion passenger on the bike.<BR><BR>Boulala had a blood alcohol concentration of .162 and Cross, who died in hospital, had a blood alcohol level of .18. Neither of the men were wearing helmets.<BR><BR> Boulala and Cross had earlier been at city nightspot the Cherry Bar. They then went to a friends house and drank beer. County Court Judge Sue Pullen said Boulala slammed into the hotel wall at an estimated 30km/h about 1.05am after doing two to three laps around the block.<BR><BR>Swedish-born Boulala has pioneered skating manoeuvres, featured in skateboarding videos, featured on the front cover of Transworld Skateboarding magazine and designed his own shoes. About 100,000 skateboards have been sold carrying his name since he turned professional in 1997.<BR><BR>The pro-skater suffered a severe brain injury in the accident and has not been able to return to skateboarding or motorbike riding.<BR><BR>Judge Pullen said the crash was a tragedy.<BR><BR>Before the crash, Cross was overheard twice telling Boulala he wanted to go for a ride on the motorbike. Boulala wouldn't let Cross go because he didn't have a helmet, Judge Pullen said.<BR><BR>"You were therefore aware of the potential ramifications," Judge Pullen said.<BR><BR>"You threw caution to the wind at a later stage on this evening."<BR><BR>Judge Pullen said Cross had his whole life to look forward to and his family had suffered enormously as a result of Boulala's conduct.<BR><BR>Cross was regarded as one of Australia's most talented skateboarders. It is understood he had signed to star in a video game.<BR><BR>Judge Pullen said Boulala's injuries would provide ongoing punishment for him.<BR><BR>Boulala spent more than three months in hospital and suffered post-traumatic amnesia for 65 days. By the time he was discharged from hospital he was able to walk 200m without a walking aid.<BR><BR>He was likely to be permanent affected by the injuries he sustained, Judge Pullen said. There was a question mark over whether he would ever be able to get on a skateboard again, she said.<BR><BR>Judge Pullen said Boulala had a reduced range of movement, strength and co-ordination and suffered spasticity in his lower right leg. He still has trouble putting on his shoes and getting out of the shower. <BR><BR>Boulala, 29, has been living in Richmond with his Australian girlfriend since he was released from hospital.<BR><BR>The Swede is renowned in skateboarding circles for a 25 stair ollie, in which he jumped from the top of a massive set of stairs. <BR><BR>Boulala arrived in Australia in November, 2006, to film a skateboarding video. He rode for Flip Skateboards. Cross was also on the Flip team.<BR><BR>Boulala and Cross, from the Gold Coast, were best mates and travelled the world skateboarding, Judge Pullen said.<BR><BR>"Prior to this offence you were a person of good character. You were also a role model, as was Shane Cross."<BR><BR>Boulala, who holds a full Swedish driving permit, pleaded guilty to one count of culpable driving. He was jailed for four years with a non-parole period of two years and disqualified from driving in Victoria for three years.<BR>]]></description>

Puupponen is a professional skateboarder and programmer.<BR><BR>"We are very pleased that Harri agreed to join our operations. Here is my top ten trends. <BR><BR>1. Traditional models for consumers to research a product or service will begin to be fundamentally changed by Social Media <BR><BR>With the advent of the social web has come more and more interaction between consumers online.  Social networks, and user feedback sites, which were seen as slightly quirky a year ago are being normalised by the consumer.  Traditional search engines will become increasingly less relevant to the consumer and businesses will need to re-think their online strategies.<BR><BR>2. The growth in data and content created by the social media will also bring change to the traditional search models<BR><BR>With the sheer size of data available, search engine providers will look to introduce tiered services providing more accurate results to those willing to pay.  Whilst this will begin with services to business, over time we will see tiered search services bundled into our ISP packages as value differentiators.<BR><BR><BR>3. Likewise traditional models for businesses to research their consumers will fundamentally change<BR><BR>As more businesses realise the value inherent in their customer data and the strategic role it plays for the future, reliance on traditional qualitative research will fall into terminal decline.  Customer data will be enriched by data found on the social web to supersede traditional research tools such as questionnaires and focus groups.<BR><BR><BR>4. Customer feedback and the social network will overtake price, and in some cases brand as a major factor in online purchase decisions<BR><BR>Feedback and influence from your social network will become more significant factors in the purchasing decision cycle.  Until recently many online purchase decisions were driven by brand and security concerns.  Smaller lesser known brands will begin to pick up loyal networks of customers that have come direct as a result of influence from within their network. The data generated from Web 2.0 will be increasingly important to all organisations, not just to web based businesses<BR><BR>Companies that are more offline than online, and less rich in customer data, will start to use Web 2.0 data to enrich their understanding of their customer base.  Forums, networks, blogs etc will provide a rich source of insights into what customers are thinking or saying about products and brands and therefore what they are likely to buy.<BR><BR>6. The interest in large social networking sites as the next best thing in advertising will fall away as quickly as it has arrived<BR><BR>As social networking sites become ever more cluttered with advertising and branded applications their popularity will decline.  Like a trendy bar or nightclub, or ships passing in the night, the popularity of the monolithic social networking site will fall as consumer begin to realise that it isn't such a great thing to bare all to the world and secondly, that it isn't half as much fun as everyone thought it was.  <BR><BR><BR>7. Many agent-based, or middle- man, businesses will find it increasingly hard to justify their existence<BR><BR>This will be especially acute in specialist interest areas of sectors such as recruitment or travel.  People will look to their social networks to do much more for them, such as: finding jobs, getting advice, and even making specialist purchases such as niche travel destinations.  Forums and networks will bring common interests together to share advice and create purchasing power. <BR><BR><BR>8. Official news will be increasingly contextualised by consumer opinion and it will become harder to discern the difference between real news and opinion<BR><BR>We'll see more people commenting on official news, such that the comments will become increasingly influential and a real candid - and broader - view of public perception. The boundaries between fact, commentary and opinion will become increasingly blurred. People are already reading Blogs to get their news fix - this will increase.<BR><BR><BR>9. Data privacy will become more of an issue to consumers in 2008<BR><BR>Consumers will become more aware of what data is being held about them, and will start to demand more transparency and security in how it's being held and used. With the UK's Revenue and Customs department losing over 2 million Child Benefit details recently, with more data loss scandals emerging soon after, Australian government agencies should take note. <BR><BR><BR>10.       <description><![CDATA[<br/>一则新闻，也算是和国际接轨了。。<BR><BR>PASSENGERS using skateboards or wearing roller shoes will be banned from the Metro later this month.<BR><BR>The Shanghai Metro Operation Co said yesterday that new rules governing the use of the Metro would take effect on December 25. <BR><BR>It's the first time the rules have been amended since 2002 and the move comes after growing safety concerns caused by the behavior of passengers. <BR><BR>Commuters are also being warned to be careful of the gaps between trains and platforms and to cease boarding when the buzzer sounds and the siren lamp is flashing to avoid being hurt by closing doors and screen shields. <BR><BR>The family of a local man, Sun Shouhan, who died after being crushed by the closing screen and train doors when boarding Metro Line 1 in July, are suing the Metro operators for more than one million yuan (US$135,135) in compensation. <BR><BR>The Metro operators said for passengers to ignore the warning sirens and dash into the trains as the doors were closing was a dangerous practice that should be avoided. <BR><BR>The new rules will ban the use of skateboards and roller shoes on all platforms and trains. The operators are concerned that other passengers could fall on to the tracks after being accidentally run into. <BR><BR>There are also to be new limits on size and weight of what passengers can carry on to the trains. Passengers must make sure any goods they have "must not disturb the co-riders".<BR><BR>"Though what some passengers are carrying may not be overly large or heavy, it can be a problem for other passengers. Items such as folding bikes have been the focus of complaints and debate among commuters. Such items frequently spark quarrels, especially in the rush hour," said Yin Wei, the Metro company spokesman.<BR><BR>The new rules require riders travelling with such items to wrap them up well, especially in rainy and snowy weather, in case they hurt other passengers or damaged their clothes, Yin explained. <BR><BR>Pets are strictly banned from being taken to stations and board the trains while livestock is also to be discouraged unless kept in completely wrapped-up cages. <BR><BR>The Metro operators are also calling on passengers to take care to use the automatic ticketing machines and escalators properly. <BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<br/>无意中看了范伟和张静初演的“芬芳之旅”，据说在埃及获了奖。我觉得他们的演技都很好，但重要的是故事我喜欢，看来我也真的有点儿老了，这也许有点老套的东西我总是喜欢。爱情和感情有时候那么不容易区分，不过我喜欢真挚的东西，我想这大抵就是这部影片打动我的理由吧。]]></description>
