"Never judge a person by his/her appearance." I vividly remember that my parents often taught us. Nowdays, many people have always argued whether managers in companies would treat one person differently by his/her appearance. But I think many great men who was not good-looking achieved great progresses.
One of respectable men I admire most is George Washington. He is the greatest statesman and strategist. He sigle-handedly built up the Continental Army and led the American people to win the Independence War. At last, He became the first president of the United States. Also, he founded the framework of politics of the United States. But During the war, when he was in a trip, he got a smallpox and ended up leaving a scar on his face. Although Mr. Washington was ugly-looking, he is one of the most respectable men every generation of American look up to.
also, many scientists who have no good-looking have great achievements, such as Benjamin Franklin. When he was sent to France to ask for support of North of America. He often showed his image like this: straight unpowered hair, his round hat, his brown cloth coat. It almost was a vulgar in the eye of French upper classs. But dut to Mr. Franklin's great reputation in science field, Franklin successfully gained French support and helped the North of America to win the Independence War.
In addition, beauty is just a skin deep. My best friends, Wang Cai, had a girl friends before. She have big eyes, black hair and slim figure. Wang Cai has loved her so much that he can give everything his girlfriend wants to her, even his life. But when last semester ended, Wang Cai's girl friend cheated on him and dated with other boy. With so much pain, Wang Cai said to me:" Never trust in the beautiful babe since now."
So, it is stupid for us to judge one person by his/her appearance because every person in the world has one's good side and bad side. I hope every superior try one's best to do this to the extent that s/he treats men not by his appearance, but by his character.
